Christian Prayers

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever.

Oh God of peace, who has taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and conficence shall be our strength; By the might of Thy Spirit lift us, we pray Thee, to Thy presence, where we may be still and know that Thou art God; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Almighty and everlasting God, who kindles the flame of your love in the hearts of the saints, grant to us, your humble servants, the same faith and power of love, that as we rejoice in their triumphs, we may profit by their examples, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Oh, Lord have mercy on us, have mercy on us. Oh, Lord let thy mercy be upon us, as our trust is in thee. Oh Lord, in thee have I trusted; let me never be confounded.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all evermore.

Oh God, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works proceed, give to your servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments.

Lighten our darkness, we beseech you, Oh Lord, and by your great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night, for the love of your only Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, who knows our necessities before we ask, and our ignorance in asking; We beseech you to have compassion on our infirmities and those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us, for the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Oh Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world have mercy on us; Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on us. Oh Christ hear us, Lord have mercy on us, Christ have mercy on us, Oh Lord have mercy on us.

It is very meet, right, and our bounden duty, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to you, Oh Lord, Holy Father, Almighty, Everlasting God.

The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hears and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be amongst you, and remain with you always.
